The NSF is a great organization for many reasons. First, it will enhance Northwestern's Green abilities by making us more energy efficient. Second, it will save the University money in the long run. Third, and most importantly, this is a project by students for students. The opportunities for a practical education within this initiative are priceless and cannot be learned anywhere else. I support this organization because of the benefits it will bring not only to the university, but to students as well.
- Tommy Smithburg, ASG Vice President
The College Democrats wholeheartedly endorse the institution of the Northwestern Sustainability Fund. It is regrettable that Northwestern's peer institutions rank so much higher on the issue of sustainability and must take active steps towards addressing this gap. The NSF will save significant amounts of money and make the university more environmentally friendly and attractive to prospective students and alumni donors. We strongly encourage the administration to work with the NSF directors to enable the NSF to come to fruition.
- Jordan Fein, College Democrats, President
As an organization that also seeks to provide creative and competent solutions for students, MyCat Enterprises wholly endorses the Northwestern Sustainability Fund. Not only will the NSF invest in viable, environmentally friendly projects, but it will also establish NU as an institution whose students strive to create a new, smarter way of living. It is through organizations like the NSF that we will finally be able to realize the full benefit of long-term, sustainable economic behavior.
- Mike Markese, MyCat Enterprises Co-Founder, Co-President
Let the NSF know if you see any inefficiencies around campus that you think should be corrected, so as not to waste resources and harm the environment unnecessarily. Just send us an e-mail at sustainnu@gmail.com. Thanks for your help in making Northwestern greener!
